We are always trying to think of new ideas for people to come together and work as a team. In 2009 we decided to raise money for a local charity through office staff having ‘dress down Friday’s’ where all staff would wear what they wanted on the day so long as they donated £2 to charity. We chose Sue Ryder Care as our local charity and raised £500 in three months. Vital intends to continue fundraising and has nominated Great Ormond Street Hospital as our beneficiary for 2010.

Vital highlights its commitment to Ethical Trading with SEDEX membership

Vital Recruitment has a long-standing commitment to ethical recruitment – it is one of the core principles upon which the business was founded, and why it continues to thrive. In line with this ethos, Vital has become a member of SEDEX, the Supplier Ethical Database Exchange.

Vital’s Operations Director, Terry Waite, said: “Ethical recruitment is at the heart of our business. We were one of the first labour providers to become licensed under the Gangmasters Licensing Authority, and we are proud to be at the forefront of efforts to ensure that the labour providing industry is constantly striving for the highest standards of ethical trading. Becoming a member of SEDEX means that we can efficiently manage the ethical and responsible practises of our supply chains.”

What is SEDEX?
SEDEX is a membership organisation for businesses committed to continuous improvement of the ethical performance of their supply chains. It provides an electronic system for collecting and analysing comparable information on ethical and responsible business practice. It can be accessed by any supplier or site, anywhere in the world, providing they are able to use the internet.

It is our mission at Vital Recruitment to be recognised at the best labour provider in the UK by our staff, our customers, and our competition. We hope that you agree that joining SEDEX helps to prove this commitment.
