This is one of the many reasons why VITAL leads in the field of ethical recruitment amongst labour providers.
We understand and value the importance of ethical initiatives and we are committed to operating in an ethical and fair manner.
The Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA)
Vital was very proud to be one of the first Labour providers in the UK to be awarded the new Gangmasters Licensing Authority Licence.
The Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA) was established on 1 April 2005 to curb the exploitation of workers in the Agriculture, Horticulture, Shellfish Gathering and Associated Processing and Packaging Industries.
We know that many Labour Providers are legitimate, hard-working businesses and we will work with the industry to bring other Labour Providers up to these standards, while driving out those who refuse to conform to the law.
Ethical trading and production is an issue on our own doorstep. It is unacceptable that the food on your table could have been picked, produced or packed by an exploited worker.
The GLA has been given the powers to curb this abuse in the UK, and we are determined to help them use them.

The Association of Labour Providers (ALP)
Vital Recruitment is proud to be a member of the Association of Labour Providers.
The ALP has rapidly become established as an effective trade association with a growing membership. It is the representative voice for the industry on legislation, regulatory and other matters. It promotes high standards and good practice. Compliance to a strict Code of Practice drawn up under the auspices of the Ethical Trading Initiative is a condition of membership.
